An eco-responsible industry

The shells contain trace elements: reduced to powder, they can be used as fertilizer. They make it possible to fertilize the soils in organic farming, or to correct their acidity.

Specific skips are available in certain municipalities or communities of municipalities, in particular in waste reception centers, intended solely for the recovery of oyster shells.

Once the shells have been recovered, they are given a second life, for example with specialized companies such as the Ovive company in La Rochelle where they are transformed into a food supplement for chickens, but not only!
